It's Play Time!!!

On Sunday morning we had some friends over to play outside. We used the sprinkler, newly acquired swing set, water table and a ghetto fab pool (Todd noticed that there were holes in it about 10 min. before everyone came over so he ran to Walmart only to find out pools are out of season already, the only alternative - duct tape). Sorry to everyone who had to wake their kids up early or set the alarm to make it over! Just know I am truly jealous of you. Luke was in need of some time with the smaller crowd especially since he is getting ready to go back to a full class at Primrose on the 24th! Not that he played with anyone per se but he sure stared a lot and played near them.

Luke, Blake and Cooper in the pool.

Kona enjoyed stealing toys from the pool and chewing them up in the yard.

Avri and Raymond running in the sprinkler.

Luke and Blake teaching Cooper how to use spinny toys and swim.
Poor Dominic he was the oldest boy and I had promised that the Wii would be available. That was before we discovered that Luke broke it. Okay, we don't know for sure if he broke it but who else is a better scape-goat? We also chalk up a lost hair brush (yes, Todd's infamous hairbrush from an earlier post...devastating), cordless phone, and tv remote control to him. Anyway, here he is getting wet, kind of.

Bathing beauties and a giant crab.

Conner and Blake figuring out the features of the water table that I have trouble putting together.

Luke and Nadia in the pool. As I get to know my son more I think he has a tendency to go for older girls. He loved being around Nadia especially when she was pushing him on the swing.

Kai splashing in the water table.

It was brought to our attention that Colin is an excellent blower. He might have had more fun than the kiddos. What a good dad!

Lesson #1 learned today: it is IMPOSSIBLE to get more than 1 child to look at the camera when taking a picture. Sometimes if you get 1 to look you are lucky. Lets hear it for candid photos!

Come on Luke lets go over here.

I imagine they are discussing their stock portfolios...

Lunch time!!! Nothing like drinking milk in the sun, outside when the temp is 98 degrees...

and getting a little turkey stuck to your nose.

Colin should get a gold star for blowing so wonderfully.
