On Friday we went to the Dallas World Aquarium with our neighbors, The Webbs. I usually LOVE visiting this place (even with 20 kids in tow on field trips) but it was a crowded nightmare!! Not a smart idea on the day before the 4th, I should have known. Anyway, we attempted to maneuver through the crowds and see some animals. At one point the fire alarm went off and instructions to evacuate the building came over the loud speaker. Turns out it was a false alarm but we hightailed it out anyway!!
We ended up getting some lunch in Deep Ellum at Twisted Root. If you haven't been, GO. They serve burgers with tons of topping choices. It is kid friendly and was featured on the TV show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives on the Food Network.
I would like to point out that they burn incense in the morning at the Aquarium to cover the smell of the animals. That being said, maybe they were burning it to cover up something else ...check out Todd in this picture! Oh yeah and the bird in the tree.

Since we couldn't move an inch we decided it was time for a photo.
I forgot to turn this picture but this is Luke's face after battling the Aquarium. We will try to visit again.
