When we arrived "Micka" was on our bed!
Shiny happy people...sun screened up and hydrating before going to Hollywood Studios.
Walking to the buses...apparently we were in the Fantasia building. Personally, I can't stand that movie but the building was delightful.
Waiting for the Disney buses to pick us up.
While waiting we captured each other's most happy, excited face...umm maybe Luke didn't understand.
Woo hoo!
Apparently Todd and I both associate happiness with opening our mouths. There might be some correlation to eating in there somewhere.
Luke watching the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Show. A must for the under 3 crowd. Also...you can sprawl out on the floor and it is air conditioned!
Fans will recognize June and Quincy (a Ragas favorite) from the Little Einstein fame.
Okay so the first ride we went on was a Toy Story themed extravaganza. That being the case we waited 1 1/2 hours for it (it was the ONLY thing we waited to ride the entire trip). The people in front of us ate dinner in line and took pity on our poor, starving, little guy by giving him french fries. He ended up with the entire plate and was even dipping in their ketchup. Hey, it's Disney there are no germs right?! Outstanding parenting all around on our part.
Did I mention we waited for 1 1/2 hours? Sometimes strange things happen when trying to entertain a 2 year old.
Ready to ride!
Day 2: fueling up with a nutritious Pop Tart on the way to Magic Kingdom. Hey it's Disney there is no need for food groups beyond carbs and sugar, right?
Multi tasking with mom. Riding rides and reading maps...
Todd and Luke outside the castle.
"No, no, no, no pirate's life for me..." Pirates of the Caribbean has now been updated with Jack Sparrow for anyone who is curious.
"We are NOT going to take a 2 year old to a character breakfast, lunch or dinner. It is too expensive and we will save it for when he is older." File that one under famous last words...
Three reasons to love the train 1. it is not crowded and 2. no chasing a toddler while riding 3. it lasts more than 3 minutes.
Luke didn't get the memo about the midday napping break and continued to be "oh so 2" on the bus back to the hotel...
After napping we took a dip in the pool...
Still day 2: back at Magic Kingdom and Todd's favorite ride, the people mover. See train picture above for the reasons we love this ride.
Disney is not a place for glamour or looking hot...it is however, a place for hats of all shapes and sizes.
Having some tea in Minnie's kitchen.
Standing outside Mickey's house with a few other stalkers errr, fans.
"Look people I am experienced at these fountain things. Spread your arms wide and scream."
Getting set up to kick it old school at the Electronic Light Parade.
Right before the camera went dead I snapped this shot.
Day 3: Rearing to go see the sights at Animal Kingdom.
In the cleverly named "affection section" they had goats, sheep, more goats and you guessed it, more sheep to pet. I am all for Disney's policy of doing what is best for the animals and not over exposing them to people but that was the most boring petting zoo ever. And we trekked it to the back of the park with a little guy in tow just to see a few sheep and goats?
