Winter Fun in Texas

Last week Luke and I had a date with some friends. First we met at Boomerang's Bounce House place and then moved on to Pizza Garden for dinner. Here is the little guy with his friend from school Kai. They have an area especially for toddlers and it was the perfect size.

So happy to be bouncing. This trip coincided with Todd going to check on a "sleeping" Luke the other day only to find him jumping on his crib.

Luke's other friend Nadia thinks she is his big sister! I personally think he needs the torment of a sibling from time to time...

At the top of the big slide...wheeeeee

Action shot...

Monday night we took Luke to ICE! at the Gaylord Texan. It is basically a huge area full of real ice sculptures. They give everyone a parka because it is 32 degrees inside the building. This year the theme was How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Luke was very puzzled by what was going on and probably wondering why we were all about to put on giant coats. What puzzles me is the expression on Todd's face...

There you have it...

Waiting in line to get in. Throughout the exhibit we asked other people take our pictures but inevitably Luke would look away, so the best family shots were the ones we took of ourselves. Not that he looks good here but at least he is facing the right direction.

Not made of ice...

Where are my hands? A little help please...

Blurry pic but you can see Luke busting out of his coat to try to touch the ice. I am thinking it is a good thing we don't live in Minnesota...he was not impressed with the cold weather gear.

Finally, Todd reached the real entrance...

This sign is in fact made of ice...

All ice...

Little rosy cheeks

Yep, it is made of ice. I had a problem because they made Luke slide by himself and then I wasn't allowed to catch him at the bottom. He started down on his bottom and ended up on his stomach but didn't seem to mind.

Leaving the slide room in an ice cave...

So awesome...

Yes he is wearing 2 coats. His normal green one from home and the giant one they provided us with. This created a penguin like walk which was very entertaining.

More "Who's" eating dinner...

The ice Grinch with his turkey...
