Todd and I at the Christmas Tree farm. For some reason they had a pitchfork laying around and what else do you do when you see a pitchfork but bust out a little American Gothic?
How our plans just didn't work out...
After seeing how much fun Luke had riding on the golfcart at the storage unit place I decided he was ready for a real "ride". My plan was to take him on the mini train ride that is just outside of the Ft. Worth Zoo on Wednesday. We were so excited and practicing our "choo choo's" (okay, I was practicing my "choo choo's" and Luke was mildly entertained) on Wednesday morning when the news showed the EXTREMELY long lines of traffic waiting to get into the zoo area. Apparently it was 1/2 price day, paired with Spring Break and a new baby giraffe so we decided to postpone our plans and go today. As you can imagine, the zoo was still packed today, it is still Spring Break after all and that darn baby giraffe must be really cute! So we drove all the way to the zoo and back home...no train ride again. I have to say thank you to my parents (Grandpa and Grandma B.) for hanging out with us at the park and their willingness to join us for a mini train ride. Here are some consolation pictures...
We stayed with Grandpa and Grandma B. last night and I guess Lima wore herself out. Believe it or not she is actually alive.
After we got home Luke had some dinner and he was "airing out" when he decided to climb the stairs. He knows this is not okay but likes to taunt Kona and I by turning around and smiling. I think it might be time for a gate??!!
