Halloween Celebrations!

Finally getting ready to carve...Luke was fulfilling that age old tradition of hugging your pumpkin before carving it!

Anything but the seeds NOOOOO...

He recovered from the freak out and actually scooped some "yucky, gross" stuff out.

Friday the 29th Luke had his class Halloween party and parade.

I crashed the party and brought him to my classroom but first his teacher took this picture.

Saturday evening we met up with Luke's friend Gaven and his parent's to go Trick or Treating on Venice Ave. They shut down the street and all the shop owners come and pass out candy to the kiddos. Once the boys got the hang of it, they were hard to keep up with.

Looking forlorn little lion man!

I think they were trying to break into this shop.

After all the Trick or Treating we went to Sharky's for dinner and play time in the sand. It never gets old, the whole falling and rolling in the sand routine. It just sticks around and keeps getting more entertaining, much like all the sand that has accumulated in my car!

Playing with sticks and sand. It takes the boys an hour to warm up to each other then they jabber incoherently (but crack each other up) and end up playing side by side.

On Halloween night our first stop was Jeff and Steph's house. Luke just walked right in...we were hoping he wouldn't do that at all of the houses we went to.

Woo hoo this is fun.

Leave it to Steph to have some cookies laying around to be iced. All I have to say is she is a brave soul and smart not to clean her floors before the sprinkles came out!
Clearly there are not enough sprinkles yet...

The scariest thing about this Halloween was how fast our pumpkin molded!

Luke allowed Kona to go Trick or Treating with us as long as she promised not to take his candy.

First experience with Milk Duds...I think it must have been heavenly.

Oh man these things really get stuck in your teeth!

Back at home, now it was Luke's turn to pass out candy (we got about 5 Trick or Treaters).

He is just to cute. I love the pictures of him and Gaven, how fun for him to a little friend to trick or treat with.
